Amanda graduated from Virginia Tech University in 2006 with a degree in Human Nutrition, Foods and Exercise and has been practicing dietetics for 10+ years, with over 7 years of experience working with Bariatric patients. She joined the MUSC Bariatric Surgery Program in July of 2014 and thoroughly enjoys meeting with patients individually, teaching the nutrition classes, co-facilitating the monthly support groups and just being a part of this awesome team. Prior to this, Amanda was working with bariatric surgery patients through a program in Reading, Pennsylvania. Amanda believes in an individualized style of counseling, as she realizes that every Bariatric surgery patient is different and will have different goals before and after surgery. Molly came to Charleston for her dietetic internship at MUSC after graduating from the University of Georgia with a degree in dietetics. She quickly fell in love with Charleston, and MUSC and became the dietitian for MUSC’s childhood/adolescent weight management program (Heart Health). Four years later, she excitedly joined the Bariatric Surgery Program and is now one of the two Registered Dietitians dedicated to the program. Molly loves helping to educate and empower others, and looks forward working with patients individually in clinic, and in group-settings at nutrition education classes and support groups. Molly can be contacted at 843-876-4307 or email@example.com.
