Sujai Deep Nath
Dr. Sujai Nath graduated from a large high school in suburban Minneapolis as the class valedictorian and received a national merit commendation. He then went on to complete an undergraduate degree in biomedical engineering from Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois. While there he was on the dean’s list and was elected into Tau Beta Pi, the national engineering honor society. Dr. Nath obtained his Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Minnesota, followed by a residency in neurology at Yale University. Upon completion of his residency, he was in private practice but eventually returned to begin a formal fellowship in medical informatics which led to a position as a medical informatics consultant at Apelon, a small medical software firm that specializes in medical terminology management tools. Eventually, Dr. Nath returned to clinical practice while working at MidState Medical Center and also worked in the intra-operative neuro-monitoring field.
Dr. Nath is currently an assistant professor of neurology in the neuro-hospitalist program. He is involved in teaching medical students and residents as well as helping develop the new tele-neurology program. Dr. Nath is the contact person for neuro-informatics in the department.
