Ms. Lyons-Crews completed her undergraduate degree at Mary Baldwin College and Master of Social Work degree at the University of South Carolina. Past experience has been in the areas of child abuse and neglect; foster care and adoption; individuals with developmental disabilities; veterans' services; adult psychiatric services; and youth psychiatric services.
Currently, Ms. Lyons-Crews provides therapy as an outpatient psychotherapist with past experience in inpatient and partial hospitalization settings. Experience has been in working with individuals of all ages but specialize in working with youth and their families. Expertise in working with children with behavioral issues who struggle with anger management, social skills, and self awareness. Provide individual insight-oriented psychotherapy to adults with symptoms of anxiety and depression and family therapy with focus on communication strategies and conflict resolution. Primary modality for treatment is Cognitive Behavioral therapy and is certified in Trauma-focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. Also, provide group psychotherapy for youth with focus on skill building in the areas of anger issues and social skill building.
