Katherine Lewis, M.D., MSCR is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Internal Medicine, Division of Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Medical Genetics. She also serves in the Department of Pediatrics, Division of Pediatric Endocrinology and Diabetes. She received her M.D. degree from The Ohio State University and completed her Internal Medicine and Pediatrics Residency at The Ohio State University/Nationwide Children’s Hospital. She then completed a combined fellowship in Endocrinology and Pediatric Endocrinology at Indiana University. She is board certified in General Internal Medicine, General Pediatrics, Endocrinology, and Pediatric endocrinology.
Dr. Lewis sees patients with general endocrinology or pediatric endocrinology concerns but has particular interest in the transition of pediatric endocrinology and diabetes patients into adult endocrinology care and the care of patients with cystic fibrosis with bone disease, diabetes, or other endocrine disorders. In addition to teaching students, residents, and fellows in clinical settings, she serves in the position of Master Clinical Skills Teacher in the College of Medicine Medical Student Education Program. Her research focuses on improvement of transition of pediatric diabetes patients to adult care.
