Dr. Ennis James joined the pulmonary faculty at MUSC in 2015. His primary focus is to improve the care of sarcoidosis patients through dedicated clinical practice and research. He became interested in sarcoidosis as a pulmonary and critical care fellow at Virginia Commonwealth University where he helped build the sarcoidosis patient database and participated in investigator-initiated studies in sarcoidosis. Dr James is happy to see patients with confirmed or suspected sarcoidosis, and has experience treating patients with sarcoidosis involving multiple organ systems who may require advanced forms of treatment. He is the clinic director of the Susan Pearlstine Sarcoidosis Center of Excellence with the mission to provide sarcoidosis patients with well-coordinated and patient-centered multidisciplinary care.
