Dr. Fox is an Associate Professor of Medicine at the Medical University of South Carolina. He completed his undergraduate training at West Virginia University and then received his M.D. degree at the Medical College of Virginia. Internship and residency followed at MUSC. He became Board Certified in Internal Medicine in 1976.
After a year as Chief Resident for Internal Medicine, he joined the faculty at MUSC in the Division of General Internal Medicine and Geriatrics in 1977.
Dr. Fox served as Chief of the Medicine Service at Charleston Memorial Hospital and was a prior Residency Program Director for the Department of Medicine. He is a member of the American College of Physicians. He currently divides his time between a busy clinical practice of General Internal Medicine/Primary Care and precepting residents and students in their clinical activities.
He has been recognized by residents and students for his teaching activities. He has been recognized as one of the “Best Doctors in America” and was honored with the “Outstanding Clinician Award” at the 2001 Faculty Convocation.
