Where Clinical Innovation Unfolds

Clinical innovation is in the DNA of specialists at MUSC Health, the clinical enterprise of the Medical University of South Carolina. As a tertiary care center, MUSC Health sees a high volume of patients with complex health issues and chronic disease who benefit from a multidisciplinary approach to care. The depth of specialist and subspecialist talent available at MUSC Health enables it to offer such multi-faceted, multidisciplinary care. This high volume of complex cases means that its specialists are very experienced in cutting-edge techniques that improve the survival and quality of life of their patients. Not content just to provide state-of-the-art care for their patients, MUSC Health clinicians work tirelessly to redefine and raise the standard of care.  Many are involved in national clinical trials of novel devices or therapeutics, meaning that their patients have early access to these new treatment modalities. MUSC clinicians also collaborate closely with basic science investigators on campus to devise and test new approaches to care.
