In an effort to help health care organizations meet many of the emerging requirements of the Affordable Care Act (ACA) and to provide patients with higher quality of care and patient experiences, MUSC Health will be offering Bridging the Gap Medical Interpretation Program, a 40-hour program that was developed by The Cross Cultural Health Care Program. The program is slated to begin in October, and participant registration should be completed by the end of September.
Successful completion of this course prepares bilingual individuals to serve as qualified medical interpreters in any health care setting. Interpreters who use American Sign Language (ASL) are also encouraged to attend.
Additional questions should be directed to Antwan Walters, Coordinator, Interpretation Services at MUSC Health at 843-792-5078 or via email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
