Objectives Review key lessons learned about COVID diagnostics and transmission relevant to community isolation and hospital infection control policy updates in 2024; Review antiviral and anti-inflammatory treatments for COVID-19; Review the impact of COVID-19 on the immunocompromised, with particular attention to persistent COVID-19 infection and how it differs from “long-haul COVID” syndromes in other populations; Review vaccine effectiveness in COVID-19
